Dan’s Den

The name is a play on words from Daniel in the lion’s den; as I look at myself in my “den”, be it office, home, car, etc.  It is where some thoughts are shared.
Text Box: DAN'S DEN: As some of you may already know, I had the privilege this past week of going to Indianapolis for NCSR. NCSR stands for the North Central States Rally. It is sponsored by Lifeway and several other denominational entities. Basically for over two and a half days pastors from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio were given the opportunity to hear some messages from denominational leaders and attend six different break out sessions selected from a list of sixty. It was a great and encouraging time. Now I have returned and am reflecting on all of the information that I was inundated with over the week. There will be some things you will hear about that I picked up from the rally. There may also be some stories from one of the seven other pastors I shared the bus with . . . (don’t believe everything you hear!) Actually I was blessed and encouraged to spend time with these fellow pastors. For me one major emphasis I picked up from the rally in basic simple terms, is to . . . in all things . . . keep the main thing the main thing! That of course is to share the message of hope found only in Jesus Christ. There is nothing that we can be about that will last if it does not first and foremost include sharing the message of Jesus. My hope, desire, and love is to lead others across Norwalk into a relationship with Jesus Christ. That IS the MAIN THING! Pray with me as we seek how we might better focus on what we know we should be doing!
